Located at the edge of the River Thames stands the brilliant Glazers’; it’s stunning setting provides views of the City, giving guests a beautiful backdrop for their events.
The available event space offers a lot of flexibility for any event and for many it is a favourite backdrop and setting to host their events in. Some of the many events which have been held at Glaziers’ Hall vary, from conferences and business meetings to champagne receptions and parties.
Dinner 100 – 250
The Glazers’ Hall which stands proudly today is in fact not the original, instead the original stood on Fye Foot Lane, and however it was destroyed during the Great Fire of London in 1666.
After this disaster struck the City, Glazers’ Hall did not exist for 300 years – after this time had passed, it was then relocated.
The current home of Glazers’ Hall is connected to London Bridge and the so-called ‘Nancy Steps’ which were made famous by Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist.
Inside of this fantastic central London based venue are seven magnificent rooms, all of which vary in sizes to accommodate and suit different types of events.’
The overall venue can accommodate 10 to 600 guests – each of the rooms can be used in conjunction with each other or they can be booked separately.
Although its rooms all differ from each other, they are all decorated beautiful with stained glass, oak panelling and floor to ceiling arched windows. In addition to this, Glazers’ Hall has first-class views of the River Thames and the City skyline.
The largest room of them all inside of Glazers’ Hall is the Banqueting Hall – an impressive and flexible space ideal for a maximum number of 250 guests. It is fully equipped with audio-visual equipment, making it the perfect venue for conferences, dinners and parties.
Adjacent to Banqueting Hall, this room shows off the venue’s best views. The River Room can accommodate up to 200 standing guests.
The Bridge Room and The Thames Room
This space can hold a maximum of 70 guests for a seated dinner with the attached Thames Room for a reception. Both spaces offer stunning views of the Thames.
The Court Room
Surrounded by oak panelling and stained glass windows, this room provides privacy and style for your conferences, with space for up to 160 delegates. The Court Room is an adaptable space with an anteroom for refreshments or strategic breakouts. Alternatively, this room can accommodate up to 100 guests for a dinner.
The Library adjoins the Court Room, offering a refined room for refreshments or a breakout space for your guests. Accommodating up to 70 standing, it holds an unrivalled collection of publications on the the constitutional crafts of Glaziers Hall; glass painting and scientific instrumentation.
Featuring the exposed Sir John Rennie’s London Bridge, this newly created space showcases three restored Georgian brick arches, a grade listed original York stone floor and bespoke wine cellar as a backdrop.
A heritage setting for dinners, wine tastings, receptions and lectures, with a private entrance and reception area the London Bridge Arches can be hired exclusively.
Alternatively this contrasting space can be used for breakouts or refreshments for larger events taking place throughout the venue, including expos, marketplace events and product showcases.
