Venue Overview

The Crypt
Enjoy the Crypt’s vaulted brick ceilings, parquet flooring plus choose from natural light – let in by eight large windows – or create a more atmospheric effect using the stunning uplighting. This is an unusual event venue in London that will set the scene for any memorable function. It can accommodate 200-person conferences, boutique exhibitions or standing receptions for up to 300. If you want a dinner and dance then simply decide on your layout and if you want the stage for speeches, presentation or a band.

The Well
The Well is located next to the Crypt and can be hired as a standalone venue or together with our other areas if extra space is required. It is bright and boasts the same vaulted ceilings and parquet flooring as the Crypt. What’s more it is easily accessible from the well-equipped kitchen. Enjoy this space for intimate drinks receptions, board meetings with a difference, workshops, dedicated refreshments area or as a break out room when hiring The Crypt.

St James Clerkenwell
If the original features, natural light, stunning organ, impressive stained glass windows aren’t enough to convince you of the attraction of the church as a special place for live events, performances, corporate entertainment and much more then, the fact that it has AV facilities ready to go might be just what it takes!

The Vestry
If you are looking for a quiet area in order to create a thought provoking environment for meetings or where you can relax and have private discussions, the Vestry is the place to be. It can accommodate up to 20 people Boardroom style or comfy chairs can be provided for a more informal set-up. Its wood panelled walls, high ceilings and natural light would make this a ideal place for conducting interviews or for film shoots.

The Long Walk
Last but not least is the gated park outside the front of the church – The Long Walk – which today is from where the bride will traditionally enter the church. This little oasis is literally a breath of fresh air and could be set up for photographic opportunities or drinks and snacks.
