Launching in early September, The Lampery is the first in a series of new restaurant and bar concepts Create have produced in partnership with Apex Hotels.
The Lampery will be the latest addition to the capital’s booming dining scene, a no-nonsense restaurant with a passion for British ingredients. Located in the heart of one of London’s most historic neighbourhoods, Tower Bridge, it will be the perfect new destination for a celebration, a long lingering dinner with friends or a snappy work lunch.
The Lampery is an 80 seater restaurant that also features a contemporary cocktail bar and terrace area with a sensational leafy green canopy and a bright aspect out onto Seething Lane.
Create worked tirelessly to establish a menu and branding concept that reflected the history or the location as well as the philosophy of Apex hotels. The Lampery takes its name from one of Seething Lane’s most illustrious former residents and his favourite dish. Samuel Pepys was an MP known for his 17th century diary that details life in the capital at the time, including two of its most well-documented events the Great Fire of London and the plague. As an avid foodie, Pepys peppered his diary with details of his favourite meals and one dish that stands out is The Lampery Pye, which he describes as ‘most rare’ in amongst a selection he devours at one of his famous feasts.
