Gemma Banks, our Head of Creativity, designs her dream events, if money was no object.

As we creep towards the 14th February, love begins to fill the air. So for the third edition in our Dream Dinner series, we are going all out classic romance with a Valentine’s Day date for two.

To get a date started on the right foot, classic romance most definitely calls for a classic car. Our couple are collected from one of London’s most picturesque sunset spots, Waterloo Bridge, in an beautiful E-Type Jaguar, where a bottle of chilled Nyetimber Rose & two crystal glasses awaits.

As dusk falls over London, the drive takes in some of the city’s most beautiful landmarks, until the car pulls up outside the breath-taking Royal Museums of Greenwich Queen’s House.

A butler greets the guests with delicately floral La Fleurette cocktails, served in Lucca engraved champagne saucers, from a vintage silver drinks tray. From here they can hear a string quartet playing Chopin on the breeze…

The sweeping double staircase that leads them into the house is lit with a hundred twinkling candles in vintage silver candlesticks.

Once inside they have time to take in their historic surroundings whilst enjoying the music, their cocktails and some of Create’s finest canapes;

Breaded Octopus with oyster mousse & caviar

Truffled Brie on honeyed brioche

Moules Marinières with white wine, parsley & a potato crisp

Dinner is called and their attention is drawn to the dramatic spiral staircase who’s banisters are heaving with blush pink blooms like hydrangeas, anemones & ranunculus and scented foliage like eucalyptus.

At the top of the stairs they enter the Great Hall, with its striking geometric, monochrome floor, their eyes are drawn to a mirror topped dining table & soft grey velvet chairs that sit in the middle of the room. White hemstitched napkins tied with a single ranunculus stem and antique lace ribbon sit on top of platinum band bone china & frosted rose charger plates. Cut Crystal wine glasses, and silver Kings cutlery frame the place setting. And the fine dining tasting menu is exquisitely hand written on marbled card by Quill London.

The room is up lit in a soft pink hue and each corner of the Grand Hall glows from the light of hurricane vase candles, and the room is scented with Jo Malone London Red Roses.

As they take their seats their eye is drawn to the ceiling where pages from Love Letters of Great Men hang between tumbling ivy, fairy lights & flowers from the balconies that surround the hall.

As the bespoke fine dining tasting dinner is served a harpist softly accompanies.
